Another essential value to Coach Kelly is having fun! Enjoying the game is vital to a healthy team culture.

JV Head Coach Capri GoldSmith

Playing Experience

Capri played mainly as a forward and outside winger. The majority of her youth soccer experience, Capri played for Encinitas Express. She also played a few years with Carlsbad Lightning, and finished off her club career with Rancho Santa Fe Attack. For high school, Capri played for La Costa Canyon High School in Carlsbad.

Capri was recruited her junior year in high school to play soccer at the collegiate level. She played Division II soccer at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah. Playing in college was one of the most fruitful experiences in her life. Capri ended up transferring to University of Colorado Denver after a year and a half to pursue her career in Special Education. Currently, Capri plays recreationally on co-ed indoor teams.

Coaching Philosophy

As a coach, Capri is a firm believer in being a support pillar. Supporting student-athletes looks different based on each individual student, their personalities, needs, and goals.

Capri breaks coaching down into 3 categories:

1. Building character

2. Relationships

3. Growth mindset

As Capri supports her student-athletes within these three areas with compassion and empathy, she believes there is room for exponential growth within the mental and physical aspects of the game for all. Capri promises to create an environment for athletes to feel inspired, motivated, encouraged, pushed, and believed in!

JV Assistant Coach Hannah Williams

Playing experience

Hannah was incredibly fortunate to play competitively for Encinitas Express and Rancho Santa Fe attack as well making herself available to be borrowed for other local club teams.

Hannah's end goal was to play defensively as a right back at the collegiate level and she was fortunate enough receive a scholarship to play for Hope International University, an NAIA program.

Coaching Philosophy

Hannah's goal as a coach is to focus heavily on the mental side of the game, because she understands the pressure young female athletes can place on themselves. Her goal is to show these girls how to be driven in a healthy and productive way! Hannah also firmly believes that perseverance is a crucial building block for success- not only in the game but in the classroom as well.
